Just wanted to let everyone know that my new bracketology will be coming out tonight, although it may be late for some of the other east coasters (like myself) out there. Some of today's early scores have changed quite a bit in the bracket. I plan on having a live chat (like I did last time) for people that want to join in and chat with me about the bracket. This time I hope to be more available to answering questions than I was last time.
Here's some of the burning questions tonight's bracket will help answer:
How does Penn State's loss to Iowa affect the Nittany Lions?
Does this bad loss (the Nittany Lions first) really do enough damage to knock them out of my latest field? A bad loss was really the only thing Penn State couldn't afford at this time and it will bite them, but how much?
How does today's SEC action (Florida win over UK, Auburn's upset win over LSU) affect the field?
Is Auburn, dare I say Auburn, moving towards a NCAA Tournament at large bid? The Tigers dominated LSU on Saturday, proving that they are actually for real. Does today's loss eliminate Kentucky from bubble contention, and what does the victory do for Florida's NCAA Tournament chances?
Is Pittsburgh a lock for a #1 seed now?
How about I answer this one now? Pittsburgh is going to be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. I don't see how they can't be. After today's win over Connecticut the Panthers now have two wins over #1 teams (although both were Connecticut) and a gaudy 27-3 record to go along with playing the nation's 10th hardest schedule. They are also #1 in the RPI.
